02 · Resource Management

How we manage resources

Resource management

Restricted funds

Resources designated for a specific project, grant or purpose. When a funder approves a specific budget, the allocation, conditions and reporting requirements defined in that instrument take precedence.

Resource management

Unrestricted funds

Resources whose use may be allocated in line with institutional priorities and applicable governance, while maintaining records, classification, evidence and accountability.

Initial indicative resource allocation framework

Initial indicative distribution. Actual allocation may vary according to the conditions, budgets and restrictions attached to each source of funding.

03 · Donation certification

Donation certification in Colombia

Fundación Katari may issue, where legally applicable, the relevant certification for donations received. The tax treatment will depend on Fundación Katari’s legal and tax position, the donor’s circumstances and the applicable regulations.

Two documents with different purposes

A philanthropic recognition certificate acknowledges a contribution or institutional relationship. A tax donation certificate, where legally applicable, responds to legal and tax requirements. They are not equivalent.

04 · Traceability and accountability

From contribution to reporting

The contribution reference system is designed to support reconciliation and reporting. It does not imply individual tracking of each monetary unit or treat a registered intent as revenue.

  2. 02Unique reference
  3. 03Reconciliation
  4. 04Allocation

  7. 07Reporting

Unique reference for reconciliation

The KATARI-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX code links a registered intent to the subsequent reconciliation process. Financial confirmation must come from the payment mechanism or the corresponding reconciliation process.

05 · Impact and sustainability

Evidence, learning and sustainability

Fundación Katari is structuring a framework to distinguish activities, immediate outputs, outcomes and impact, link indicators to sources, and strengthen the sustainability of interventions.

Impact & Evidence Framework

A model connecting need, inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes and impact without confusing activity volume with impact.

Explore the framework

SDGs

A proposed alignment layer that must be mapped individually for each intervention and does not imply United Nations endorsement.
